Proofreading should be done after developmental editing and copy editing are complete.

Proofreading is a final review of the manuscript to ensure there aren't any grammatical, spelling, and plot development inconsistencies.

Please note that proofreading will not leave you with suggestions or comments on how to tighten up your plot, character development, or storyline. I will fix any grammatical errors I see, but if I have to make more than 100 changes then I will need to stop proofreading and suggest copy editing, unless Cynful Monarch was the one to do the copy edits. The author can pay the difference if they would like to proceed with this option. If the author refuses copy editing I will send back the manuscript with the 100 changes already made, unfinished. 

Proofreading can take up to 2 weeks. Please plan accordingly, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Manuscripts must be sent as a Word document.
